In 2022, the average import price for hemp (cannabis sativa l.); raw or retted, but not spuns amounted to $676 per ton, surging by 3.2% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, showed a deep reduction. The import price peaked at $1,131 per ton in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($779 per ton), while the price for Russia ($460 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2016 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (+7.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
