In October 2023, the average export price for hop cones; ground, powdered or in the form of pellets; lupulin amounted to $15,148 per ton, reducing by -11.6% against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.9%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in December 2022 an increase of 19% m-o-m. The export price peaked at $17,515 per ton in May 2023; however, from June 2023 to October 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major external markets. In October 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices to Spain ($19,170 per ton) and Argentina ($18,636 per ton), while the average price for exports to Japan ($14,250 per ton) and China ($14,750 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Russia (+3.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was the United States ($22,898 per ton), while the price for Germany amounted to $9,059 per ton.
From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Belgium (+1.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
