The average import price for hydrogen, rare gases and other non-metalses stood at $0.7 per cubic meter in 2022, dropping by -10.2% against the previous year. In general, the import price recorded a mild decline. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 an increase of 43% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $0.9 per cubic meter. From 2019 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.

The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, export price for hydrogen, rare gases and other non-metalses increased by +73.5% against 2016 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 an increase of 31%. The export price peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.

Over the period under review, total exports indicated a prominent expansion from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +12.7% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +57.4% against 2020 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 29% against the previous year. The exports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
