Price for Imides and Their Derivatives; Other Kinds, Excluding Saccharin in Iran (CIF) - 2022
The average import price for imides and their derivatives; other kinds, excluding saccharins stood at $4,058 per ton in 2022, rising by 2.6% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, showed a pronounced shrinkage. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when the average import price increased by 33% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $6,340 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United Arab Emirates ($12,188 per ton), while the price for India ($1,505 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United Arab Emirates (+2.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

For the third year in a row, Iran recorded decline in overseas purchases of imides and their derivatives; other kinds, excluding saccharins, which decreased by -34.2% to 105 tons in 2022. In general, imports continue to indicate a precipitous slump.
In value terms, imports of imides and their derivatives; other kinds, excluding saccharins dropped markedly to $427K in 2022. Over the period under review, imports recorded a dramatic shrinkage.
