The average inner tubes, of rubber export price stood at $1.6 per unit in September 2023, surging by 4.6% against the previous month. Overall, the export price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in June 2023 when the average export price increased by 9.4% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum in September 2023.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was Canada ($8.6 per unit), while the average price for exports to South Africa ($395 per thousand units) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Canada (+15.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
