In 2022, the average iodides and iodide oxides import price amounted to $31,731 per ton, reducing by -5.6% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, enjoyed measured growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when the average import price increased by 65%. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $33,630 per ton in 2021, and then declined in the following year.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Thailand ($76,510 per ton), while the price for Spain ($7,385 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Malaysia (+194.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
