Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.7%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in July 2022 when the average import price increased by 32% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $4,811 per ton in January 2023; however, from February 2023 to June 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.

As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $6,735 per ton. From 2019 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Switzerland ($14,085 per ton), while the average price for exports to Slovenia ($2,026 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Austria (+13.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
