In March 2024, the average import price for iron or steel cast fittings, other than of non-malleable cast ira amounted to $3,321 per ton, waning by -10.5% against the previous month. Overall, the import price continues to indicate a perceptible reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in July 2023 an increase of 37% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $6,366 per ton in September 2023; however, from October 2023 to March 2024, import prices remained at a lower figure.
As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for China.
From March 2023 to March 2024, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Italy amounted to +8.8% per month.

The average export price for iron or steel cast fittings, other than of non-malleable cast ira stood at $6,548 per ton in 2022, increasing by 13% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, showed a noticeable curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the average export price increased by 47%. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $10,333 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Poland ($10,132 per ton), while the average price for exports to Estonia ($2,075 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Poland (+4.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Imports of Iron or Steel Cast Fittings, Other than of Non-Malleable Cast Iron in Hungary
For the fourth consecutive year, Hungary recorded growth in supplies from abroad of iron or steel cast fittings, other than of non-malleable cast ira, which increased by 79% to 6K tons in 2022. Overall, imports saw significant growth. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
