In May 2024, the average import price for iron or steel cast fittings, other than of non-malleable cast ira amounted to $9,829 per ton, rising by 49% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The import price peaked at $11,306 per ton in July 2023; however, from August 2023 to May 2024, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In May 2024, the country with the highest price was the United States ($26,483 per ton), while the price for Latvia ($5,592 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From May 2023 to May 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by France (+17.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average export price for iron or steel cast fittings, other than of non-malleable cast ira amounted to $19,004 per ton, growing by 25% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, continues to indicate a mild shrinkage. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 an increase of 142%. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $22,177 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the UK ($45,455 per ton), while the average price for exports to Taiwan (Chinese) ($4,262 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Egypt (+8.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
