The average import price for iron ores and concentrates, agglomerated (excluding roasted iron pyrites) stood at $157 per ton in 2022, declining by -24.7% against the previous year. Overall, the import price saw a noticeable decline. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when the average import price increased by 54%. The import price peaked at $274 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
