The average export price for iron ores and concentrates, non-agglomerated stood at $131 per ton in 2022, with a decrease of -9.5% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, continues to indicate a mild expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 an increase of 66% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $145 per ton, and then shrank in the following year.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was India ($206 per ton), while the average price for exports to Singapore ($31 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
