In 2022, the average import price for lac; natural gums, resins, gum-resins and balsamses amounted to $5,440 per ton, declining by -31.3% against the previous year. In general, the import price showed a abrupt downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when the average import price increased by 64%. The import price peaked at $11,081 per ton in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
