In 2022, the average import price for lead oxides; red lead and orange leads amounted to $2,500 per ton, increasing by 7.9% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, showed a pronounced descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 an increase of 82% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $3,711 per ton. From 2019 to 2022, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Spain ($2,659 per ton), while the price for India totaled $1,465 per ton.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Spain (-1.5%).

In value terms, imports of lead oxides; red lead and orange leads plummeted to $62K in 2022. Overall, imports faced a dramatic slump. The smallest decline of -23% was in 2021.
