The average export price for liquefied ethylene, propylene, butylene and butadienes stood at $3,125 per ton in 2022, increasing by 2.6% against the previous year. In general, the export price enjoyed a strong increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when the average export price increased by 11% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $3,210 per ton in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for the United States.

From 2012 to 2022, the rate of growth in terms of prices for the United States amounted to +8.1% per year.

In 2022, the amount of liquefied ethylene, propylene, butylene and butadienes exported from Libya shrank to 13K tons, reducing by -3.5% against the previous year's figure. In general, exports showed a pronounced reduction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 7.5% against the previous year.

In value terms, exports of liquefied ethylene, propylene, butylene and butadienes reduced to $41M in 2022. Over the period under review, exports continue to indicate a mild descent. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 2% against the previous year.
