In February 2024, the average import price for liquid margarine and edible mixtures of animal or vegetable fats amounted to $1,359 per ton, with a decrease of -8.8% against the previous month. Overall, the import price recorded a pronounced setback. The growth pace was the most rapid in January 2024 when the average import price increased by 7.5% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $1,919 per ton in March 2023; however, from April 2023 to February 2024, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Ukraine ($2,874 per ton), while the price for Russia ($1,235 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From February 2023 to February 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Sweden (-1.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

From February 2023 to February 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Tajikistan (+6.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
