The average export price for lubricating oil additives; containing petroleum oils or oils obtained from bituminous mineralses stood at $4,573 per ton in December 2023, falling by -6.2% against the previous month. Overall, the export price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in March 2023 an increase of 101% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $5,290 per ton in October 2023; however, from November 2023 to December 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In December 2023, the country with the highest price was Canada ($5,892 per ton), while the average price for exports to France ($3,699 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

The import price peaked at $4,699 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to December 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In December 2023, the country with the highest price was Singapore ($7,316 per ton), while the price for India ($3,282 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Mexico (+1.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
