In October 2023, the average import price for lubricating preparations not for the treatment of materials amounted to $3,554 per ton, increasing by 7.6% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw a pronounced reduction. The growth pace was the most rapid in July 2023 when the average import price increased by 30% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $4,800 per ton in October 2022; however, from November 2022 to October 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was the United States ($10,556 per ton), while the price for the United Arab Emirates ($480 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Belgium (+3.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $3,954 per ton in August 2023; however, from September 2023 to October 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Sri Lanka ($9,829 per ton), while the average price for exports to the United Arab Emirates ($2,370 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Singapore (+8.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
