The average export price for manganese oxides; excluding manganese dioxides stood at $2,179 per ton in July 2023, with an increase of 31% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a perceptible contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in September 2022 an increase of 38% month-to-month. The export price peaked at $3,386 per ton in July 2022; however, from August 2022 to July 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($6,560 per ton), while the average price for exports to France ($711 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Netherlands (+19.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average import price for manganese oxides; excluding manganese dioxides stood at $898 per ton in 2022, leveling off at the previous year.
