The average export price for manganese oxides; excluding manganese dioxides stood at $744 per ton in August 2023, surging by 5.3% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw a mild setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in February 2023 when the average export price increased by 41% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $1,276 per ton in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to August 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was the United Arab Emirates ($887 per ton), while the average price for exports to Germany ($369 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Estonia (+0.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
