The average import price for maps, atlases, topographical plans and hydrographic or similar charts, printed in the book form stood at $5,095 per ton in 2022, approximately reflecting the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a pronounced shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when the average import price increased by 603% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $64,056 per ton. From 2015 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Belgium ($69,857 per ton), while the price for the United Arab Emirates ($674 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Belgium (+16.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
