Overall, the export price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 an increase of 319% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $14,916 per ton. From 2017 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Moldova ($6,887 per ton), while the average price for exports to Denmark totaled $5,511 per ton.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Denmark (+16.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $184,984 per ton in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Belarus ($6,714 per ton), while the price for Austria amounted to $4,000 per ton.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Slovakia (+21.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

Overall, imports, however, enjoyed a prominent expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 400%. As a result, imports attained the peak of 55 kg. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports of failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, imports of maps, atlases, topographical plans and hydrographic or similar charts, printed in the book form shrank sharply to $98 in 2022. Over the period under review, imports recorded a sharp shrinkage.
