The average export price for maps, wall maps, topographical plans and hydrographic or similar charts, printed other than in the book form stood at $3,442 per ton in 2022, picking up by 6.7% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a deep contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when the average export price increased by 93% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $27,799 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the UK ($20,072 per ton), while the average price for exports to Malawi ($2,549 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Mauritius (+1.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($44,138 per ton), while the price for China ($3,516 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United States (+5.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
