In 2022, the average import price for meat of bovine animals; frozen amounted to $4,367 per ton, waning by -2.7% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The import price peaked at $4,489 per ton in 2021, and then fell in the following year.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Lebanon ($5,676 per ton), while the price for India ($2,766 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Belgium (+1.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $6,095 per ton in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was France ($12,577 per ton), while the average price for exports to Malaysia ($606 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Hong Kong SAR (+86.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
