In December 2021, the average import price for meat of bovine animals; frozen amounted to $3,158 per ton, remaining relatively unchanged against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in March 2021 when the average import price increased by 5.5% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $3,808 per ton in August 2021; however, from September 2021 to December 2021, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

From December 2020 to December 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Brazil (+1.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
