Price for Meat of Bovine Animals; Frozen in Turkey (FOB) - 2023

The average export price for meat of bovine animals; frozen stood at $9,168 per ton in July 2023, declining by -10.5% against the previous month. Overall, the export price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in November 2022 an increase of 17% m-o-m. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $10,802 per ton. From December 2022 to July 2023, the the average export prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Cyprus ($19,725 per ton), while the average price for exports to Liberia ($6,525 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Singapore (+2.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In July 2023, the average import price for meat of bovine animals; frozen amounted to $11,181 per ton, increasing by 22% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in May 2023 an increase of 35% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $11,928 per ton in August 2022; however, from September 2022 to July 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was New Zealand ($15,653 per ton), while the price for Brazil ($6,014 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (+1.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

Exports of Meat of Bovine Animals; Frozen in Turkey

In 2022, the amount of meat of bovine animals; frozen exported from Turkey reduced sharply to 1.7K tons, falling by -32% on 2021. In general, exports, however, posted notable growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 204%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 2.4K tons, and then shrank notably in the following year.
