Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Belgium ($1,190 per cubic meter), while the price for Romania ($355 per cubic meter) was amongst the lowest.
From March 2023 to March 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Belgium (+0.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

In March 2024, the average export price for medium density fibreboard (MDF) of thickness from 5 to 9 mm amounted to $409 per cubic meter, shrinking by -7.6% against the previous month. In general, the export price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in December 2023 an increase of 26% m-o-m. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $562 per cubic meter. From January 2024 to March 2024, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Latvia ($1,230 per cubic meter), while the average price for exports to Poland ($341 per cubic meter) was amongst the lowest.
From March 2023 to March 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Latvia (+10.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
