The average import price for medium density fibreboard (MDF) of thickness over 9 mm stood at $505 per cubic meter in April 2024, waning by -2.8% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a mild shrinkage. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in December 2023 an increase of 5.5% month-to-month. From April 2023 to April 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Ukraine (-0.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Croatia ($1,128 per cubic meter), while the average price for exports to Montenegro ($680 per cubic meter) was amongst the lowest.

From April 2023 to April 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Slovenia (+13.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
