The average export price for metals; palladium, unwrought or in powder forms stood at $10.4M per ton in June 2023, surging by 157% against the previous month. Overall, the export price continues to indicate a significant expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in October 2022 when the average export price increased by 5,462% month-to-month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $40,510 per kg; afterwards, it flattened through to June 2023.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Germany ($10.4M per ton), while the average price for exports to Sweden stood at $2.1M per ton.
From September 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Germany (+34.6%).
