In 2022, the average import price for mixtures containing halogenated derivatives of methane, ethane or propane; containing carbon tetrachlorides amounted to $35,613 per ton, declining by -6.9% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a prominent increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 an increase of 58% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $38,234 per ton, and then reduced in the following year.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was India ($51,200 per ton), while the price for the United States ($4,651 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by India (+18.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
