In September 2023, the average export price for mollusc preparations; octopus, prepared or preserveds amounted to $16,678 per ton, waning by -1.5% against the previous month. In general, the export price recorded a noticeable shrinkage. The growth pace was the most rapid in April 2023 an increase of 7.4% against the previous month. The export price peaked at $20,202 per ton in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to September 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was the UK ($31,590 per ton), while the average price for exports to the United States ($14,334 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From December 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the UK (+9.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
