As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Bosnia and Herzegovina.

From December 2022 to September 2023, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Romania amounted to +1.9% per month.

Over the last nine-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.2%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in December 2022 when the average import price increased by 29% m-o-m. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $2,380 per ton. From January 2023 to August 2023, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Slovenia ($3,293 per ton), while the price for Poland ($2,049 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From November 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Slovenia (+3.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

After three years of growth, overseas shipments of mushrooms and truffles of the genus "agaricus" decreased by -4% to 2.4K tons in 2022.
