The average import price for mushrooms and truffles, other than of the genus "agaricus" stood at $2,458 per ton in November 2023, shrinking by -2.4% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in March 2023 when the average import price increased by 11% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $2,721 per ton in June 2023; however, from July 2023 to November 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Bulgaria (+9.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

In November 2023, the average export price for mushrooms and truffles, other than of the genus "agaricus" amounted to $4,903 per ton, picking up by 12% against the previous month. In general, the export price posted slight growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in February 2023 when the average export price increased by 93% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $7,248 per ton in July 2023; however, from August 2023 to November 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Canada ($34,050 per ton), while the average price for exports to France ($1,661 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Romania (+14.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Imports of Mushrooms and Truffles, Other than of the Genus "Agaricus" in Greece
In 2022, overseas purchases of mushrooms and truffles, other than of the genus "agaricus" decreased by -11.3% to 3.6K tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend.
