In November 2023, the average import price for mushrooms and truffles, other than of the genus "agaricus" amounted to $3,828 per ton, increasing by 3.6% against the previous month. Over the period from November 2022 to November 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.1%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in September 2023 an increase of 31% m-o-m. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $4,175 per ton. From October 2023 to November 2023, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In November 2023, the countries with the highest prices were Spain ($4,024 per ton) and the Netherlands ($3,543 per ton), while the price for France ($3,084 per ton) and Belgium ($3,322 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Spain (+2.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average export price for mushrooms and truffles, other than of the genus "agaricus" stood at $8,023 per ton in 2022, reducing by -31.4% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, showed modest growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when the average export price increased by 59% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $11,690 per ton in 2021, and then shrank notably in the following year.
