The average export price for mushrooms and truffles, other than of the genus "agaricus" stood at $4,813 per ton in 2022, shrinking by -20.7% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2022, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.2%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 an increase of 24% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $6,069 per ton, and then fell remarkably in the following year.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Austria ($10,506 per ton), while the average price for exports to Hungary ($3,812 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Germany (+5.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
