The average export price for new pneumatic tyres, of rubbers stood at $37.1 per unit in May 2022, growing by 3.8% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in February 2022 when the average export price increased by 8.9% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $43.9 per unit in August 2021; however, from September 2021 to May 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was South Korea ($59.8 per unit), while the average price for exports to Romania ($5.0 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From May 2021 to May 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Philippines (+2.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $51.1 per unit in June 2021; however, from July 2021 to May 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
