In April 2024, the average import price for newspapers, journals and periodicals, appearing at least four times a week amounted to $15,119 per ton, rising by 6.3% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in July 2023 when the average import price increased by 56% against the previous month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $21,566 per ton. From August 2023 to April 2024, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
