The average export price for newspapers, journals and periodicals appearing less frequently than four times a week stood at $4,198 per ton in February 2024, surging by 45% against the previous month. Overall, export price indicated a moderate increase from February 2023 to February 2024: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +3.3% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on February 2024 figures, export price for newspapers, journals and periodicals appearing less frequently than four times a week decreased by -5.4% against December 2023 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in June 2023 when the average export price increased by 83% against the previous month. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $5,176 per ton. From July 2023 to February 2024, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Argentina ($13,651 per ton), while the average price for exports to Ecuador ($2,583 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From February 2023 to February 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Peru (+3.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
