In April 2024, the average import price for newspapers, journals and periodicals appearing less frequently than four times a week amounted to $12,563 per ton, rising by 160% against the previous month. Overall, the import price posted a remarkable increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in February 2024 when the average import price increased by 272% month-to-month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $13,760 per ton. From March 2024 to April 2024, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In April 2024, the country with the highest price was the UK ($14,782 per ton), while the price for Norway stood at $1,809 per ton.
From April 2023 to April 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Norway (+9.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $5,947 per ton. From January 2024 to April 2024, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Norway.
From April 2023 to April 2024, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Finland amounted to +0.5% per month.
