The average export price for nickel; bars, rods, profiles and wires stood at $38,001 per ton in September 2023, remaining relatively unchanged against the previous month. In general, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in July 2023 when the average export price increased by 14% m-o-m. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $41,460 per ton. From August 2023 to September 2023, the the average export prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Mexico ($180K per ton), while the average price for exports to Germany ($33,897 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From February 2023 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Mexico (+26.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
