In 2022, the average import price for nickel; tubes and pipes, not alloyeds amounted to $49,037 per ton, jumping by 45% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a perceptible decline. The import price peaked at $60,291 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($66,530 per ton), while the price for South Korea ($11,106 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+2.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
