The average nickel; unwrought, not alloyed import price stood at $25,549 per ton in 2022, reducing by -13.9% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 an increase of 27%. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $29,662 per ton, and then fell in the following year.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was India ($37,823 per ton), while the price for the UK ($9,848 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by India (+8.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Nickel; unwrought, not alloyed imports into Nigeria soared to 5.2 tons in 2022, with an increase of 45% against 2021 figures. In general, imports saw strong growth.
