In September 2023, the average nickel; unwrought, not alloyed import price amounted to $22,676 per ton, shrinking by -5% against the previous month. In general, the import price showed a slight reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in December 2022 when the average import price increased by 23% against the previous month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $32,676 per ton. From January 2023 to September 2023, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.

Over the period under review, the export price showed a mild decrease. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when the average export price increased by 111%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $30,810 per ton. From 2021 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Iran ($29,090 per ton), while the average price for exports to Germany ($19,638 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Austria (+0.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
