The average import price for nuts, edible; almonds, fresh or dried, shelleds stood at $5,434 per ton in 2022, falling by -3.7% against the previous year. In general, the import price saw a noticeable decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 an increase of 11% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $8,840 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Iran ($9,079 per ton), while the price for the United Arab Emirates ($4,533 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United States (+5.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
