In September 2023, the average import price for nuts, edible; cashew nuts, shelled, fresh or drieds amounted to $7,071 per ton, shrinking by -13.7% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in July 2023 when the average import price increased by 17% against the previous month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $8,301 per ton. From August 2023 to September 2023, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Austria ($10,017 per ton), while the price for Greece ($2,750 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From October 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Vietnam (+221.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Italy (-0.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
