In October 2023, the average import price for nuts, edible; cashew nuts, shelled, fresh or drieds amounted to $6,070 per ton, flattening at the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price saw a slight slump. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in September 2023 when the average import price increased by 4.5% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $7,145 per ton in November 2022; however, from December 2022 to October 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for Vietnam.
From November 2022 to October 2023, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Burkina Faso amounted to +16.5% per month.

In 2022, the average export price for nuts, edible; cashew nuts, shelled, fresh or drieds amounted to $11,010 per ton, with a decrease of -53.6% against the previous year. Overall, the export price continues to indicate a noticeable contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 an increase of 179% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $49,289 per ton. From 2021 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Singapore ($22,000 per ton), while the average price for exports to Moldova amounted to $6,538 per ton.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Singapore (+2.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
