In 2022, the average import price for nuts, edible; macadamia, fresh or dried, shelleds amounted to $21,105 per ton, reducing by -9.4% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 an increase of 26%. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $24,523 per ton in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Croatia ($30,425 per ton), while the price for the Czech Republic ($18,080 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+2.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

Imports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.

In value terms, imports of nuts, edible; macadamia, fresh or dried, shelleds fell to $42K in 2022. In general, imports continue to indicate a significant expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by 89%.
