In December 2023, the average export price for nuts, edible; pistachios, fresh or dried, shelleds amounted to $11,312 per ton, jumping by 35% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in February 2023 an increase of 40% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $14,089 per ton in March 2023; however, from April 2023 to December 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In December 2023, the country with the highest price was Vietnam ($12,200 per ton), while the average price for exports to Germany ($7,348 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Vietnam (+5.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

As a result, import price attained the peak level of $33,973 per ton. From February 2023 to December 2023, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
