In October 2023, the average import price for nuts, edible; pistachios, fresh or dried, shelleds amounted to $9,866 per ton, reducing by -11.8% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in December 2022 when the average import price increased by 58% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $17,301 per ton in August 2023; however, from September 2023 to October 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was the United States ($17,015 per ton), while the price for Iran ($8,787 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Syrian Arab Republic (+15.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
