The average export price for nuts, edible; pistachios, fresh or dried, whether or not shelled or peeleds stood at $4,257 per ton in 2022, dropping by -3.2% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price saw a abrupt decrease. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when the average export price increased by 43% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $7,900 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

Over the period under review, the exports of hit record highs in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, exports of nuts, edible; pistachios, fresh or dried, whether or not shelled or peeleds amounted to $16K in 2022. Overall, exports recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when exports increased by 0.3%. The exports peaked in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in years to come.
