In August 2023, the average nuts (prepared or preserved) import price amounted to $8,081 per ton, approximately mirroring the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw a slight increase. Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was Italy ($8,417 per ton), while the price for the United States ($8,048 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Vietnam (+1.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $4,870 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to August 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

From August 2022 to August 2023, the rate of growth in terms of prices for the United States amounted to +0.6% per month.
